How did you first hear of www.divebuddy.com?

It seems to me that dive buddy gets new members everyday, and because of that I have been wondering how others have heard of or found the dive buddy web site. I ask because in my own case, it is a bit strange how I found it. I was on line one day looking for dive related stickers to adorn my otherwise bland minivan. I ordered several, from which web site I can’t remember now. Anyway, one of the stickers was a "Member www.divebuddy.com" sticker. I really didn’t think anything of it until the day they arrived. While looking at the stickers, I decided to see if infact www.divebuddy.com was a real web site. Needless to say it is, and the rest as they say is history. Does anybody else have any kind of simular story? Or am I the only internet idiot on this site?

I got certified to do tropical dives. So I only dove once or twice a year. On my last dive trip (bdb-before DiveBuddy) my skills were so rusty, that I had a miserable time diving in beautiful Maui. When I came back from that trip, I knew I had to do some local (shudder) cold water diving to keep my skills up. As none of my friends or family were divers, I did an online search for local dive clubs and dive buddies to find someone who knew the local dive sites. Diving locally and taking a buoyancy class improved my diving so much that on my next trip an instructor I was diving with thought I had at least 200 dives under my weight belt (I had maybe 60 at the time).

I stumbled out of a bar one night and a guy with a club ordered me to check out the site! Just kidding, I created the site :)

I’d really like to know where you ordered "Member DiveBuddy.com" sticker? It wasn’t from me.

I’ll try to find out where I got the sticker from Greg, and I will let you know where I got it from as soon as I can figure it out myself! LOL!!

I was checking out Kemperite’s work-related website and he has a link to his divebuddy.com profile. At first, I didn’t realize it was a separate entity. Once I did, I signed up.

It’s a really funny story! And I promise I will tell you if I ever get to one of your socials...
Though I think I also read about it in Dive Training magazine...there’s a "looking for buddies" section in the back?
That’s the version I always tell people, LOL!
