I got certified to do tropical dives. So I only dove once or twice a year. On my last dive trip (bdb-before DiveBuddy) my skills were so rusty, that I had a miserable time diving in beautiful Maui. When I came back from that trip, I knew I had to do some local (shudder) cold water diving to keep my skills up. As none of my friends or family were divers, I did an online search for local dive clubs and dive buddies to find someone who knew the local dive sites. Diving locally and taking a buoyancy class improved my diving so much that on my next trip an instructor I was diving with thought I had at least 200 dives under my weight belt (I had maybe 60 at the time).

I stumbled out of a bar one night and a guy with a club ordered me to check out the site! Just kidding, I created the site :)
I’d really like to know where you ordered "Member DiveBuddy.com" sticker? It wasn’t from me.

I was checking out Kemperite’s work-related website and he has a link to his divebuddy.com profile. At first, I didn’t realize it was a separate entity. Once I did, I signed up.

It’s a really funny story! And I promise I will tell you if I ever get to one of your socials... Though I think I also read about it in Dive Training magazine...there’s a "looking for buddies" section in the back? That’s the version I always tell people, LOL!
