Would like to trade may 2b/2b time share on Grand Cayman for similar accommodations at other dive destinations. Unit is week 31 (8-1-2009/8-8-2009) Unit 47, 3rd floor, great view of the pool and ocean. www.plantationvillage.com located on Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman Island.
Only expense is $10.00 per night room tax payable at time of check in.

Just a little FYI, the plan for Greg to dive NC in Nov and meet with other divers has been cancelled due to either lack of interest, lack of money or other dive trips cancelled. What many of you did not know was that Greg’s parents live in NC and it would have been great having Greg come visit us and us visiting him and other divers. Keep your fingers crossed that we can still get together before the end of the year.

Hi there! I’m headed to Hawai’i on the 15th with 5 girl friends from college. We will spend some of our vacation on Oahu and some of it on Maui. We are all divers and want to spend as much down time as possible. If anyone has any suggestions on dive sites on either island or would like to dive with us, or can even recomend a dive shop that would be great!

I want to take a live-aboard vacation next summer, somewhere in the Carribean. Any suggestions of which are better than others? I’m a low-time diver (about 20 or so dives), but would like to take a Nitrox, perhaps other, courses on the trip. I do plan to have my AOW before then. And obviously, finances are tight, so best bang for the buck.
Any suggestions?

Looking for well seasoned divers to lobster & spearfish out of Cape Canaveral, Fl. I have a 22 ft offshore boat that can dirve four . It is set up for diving with tank holder and and walkaround cabin to keep things dry. Boat has all safety gear ( 2 ) VHF 25 watt ship to shore radio’s (
1 GPS EPIRB ) for Coast Gaurd location if needed. ( 2 ) LCD Bottom recorders, ( 2 fixed mount GPS units for percise navigation. I also bring fishing gear in case we might not have good visablit...

The project "Virtual Cocos Island" took first place in the American Express Members Project environmental category. Despite the naysayers who aregued it was the fdivers, not the poachers causing trouble at Cocos, Virtual Cocos did extremely well, with many divers posting comments. I am just wondering if any ex-pats have any advice of knowledge of moving from USA to someplace like Fiji, Bahamas, Caymans etc. and if they could share their stories on the forum or to me personally as of the ease (or not) of establishing oneself on an island : living, buying, working etc.

Someone asked about online shopping. Here are the biggest problems with online shopping. Each problem does not apply to all online shopping sites. Some may apply to one or another... some may apply to all of them.
1. Some charge more for shipping to make up for the lowball price they lure you with.
2.Some bait and switch. Advertise an item they don’t have then call you and try to substitute something else.
3. Some are not authorized by the manufacturer to sell the item... therefore ...

So, my divebuddy and I had a great weekend of diving, we each took some pictures and videos and went our merry ways back home.
Now we want to exchange some (or all) of the photos/videos. But, shame on us, the files are pretty large and would clog our e-mail servers.
What if there was a way to transfer photos/videos via divebuddy.com.
I’m thinking ... an area where I can control access (so only the buddy I want to transfer the files to can get them) to house larger files for a short...

Monterey Bay Aquarium Puts Young White Shark On Exhibit For The 4th Time;
placed a young white shark on public exhibit, bringing her from Malibu to Monterey this afternoon (August 27) – 12 days after she was caught in a seine net off the southern California coast.
Monterey Bay Aquarium remains the only institution in the world to exhibit a white shark for more than 16 days, and has documented the successful return to the wild of each animal kept on exhibit....
