Super in love with my dive buddies over at Honolulu Dive Club (via meetup.com- shameless plug), and we meet once a month. Looking for dive buddies to augment those dives on weekends when I’m not surfing (I must admit that I prefer to surf), and do dives in town on the way home from work midweek when there’s not waves and the conditions are good.

I’m fully geared up, and just need a dive flag. I prefer shore dives as the price is right- Point Panic and Magic Island are the prime candidates, but Sand Island might be in play too. I can be at any of those places around 4:30 gearing up.

I would like to dive with people who are safe first, look after their dive buddy, and are zero impact- no stupid shit like grabbing marine life. I’m just down there to enjoy the miracle of the underwater dream! That said, I’d like the people I dive with to be strong and sensible- nobody wants to rescue anyone here. I have an advanced open water certification, am proficient at all aspects of diving, but am still honing underwater navigation. I’d love to find a diver with similar skills and a willingness to treat diving as sometimes an exercise in getting better when we go out.

I’m adventurous and don’t mind going to spots at those mentioned above to see if the reefs have something to offer. I love to REALLY get to know a place and feel like a boss there.
