Looking for a buddy for occasional/routine trips to gulf coast/panhandle region for dives.
I have my own gear & am a conservative diver (I AM going home to see wife and kids, every dive).
I typically engage an instructor level buddy on new types of dives for the education and safety factor.

On reef, wreck, caverns I do penetrations and swim-throughs when; appropriately safe for my 6’3" frame+gear, I feel comfortable, and my buddy is comfortable.

I am an attentive buddy and appreciate the same, and comfortable following or leading depending on buddy & need.

Prior dives include: USS Vandenburg with penetration & swim throughs, Cozumel reefs with swim throughs, Cozumel Wreck with penetration, Cenotes Cavern, Devils Den & Blue Grotto Caverns with swim throughts, Pensacola and Panama City Jeddies, and lots of pool practice!

I’m looking for buddy(ies) who are 4-5 hours from gulf coast (even better if in LA) or on the gulf coast and committed to an agreed/planned dates for shore, spring, and even wreck dives. Primarily looking to stick to 1-day or weekend trips with only occasional longer trips. I have several kids and heavy work load to keep up with the rest of the time.

I am looking to hit 100 dives (@35 now) in the next 12-24 months so I can qualify for solo diver cert for purposes of safety margin in general and comfort with simple, shallow solo beach dives during family trips.

Please let me know if you are interested in a buddy for gulf coast or Texas diving, or happen to be in one such area on a future date and open to me joining.
