Whenever I visit a doctor (for any reason) or a dentist as well, I always let them know that I am a diver. In fact, I try to find doctors and dentists who are at least divers themselves.
If your doctor or dentist does not understand a little about hyperbaric physiology, they may either miss something significant in diagnosis or might not treat a dive related condition appropriately.
If your physician is not a diving doctor, then you can refer them to contact one of the major Scuba Certification Agencies for information, or better yet, refer them to contact DAN at Duke University for assistance.

Yes I tell all of my Dr.’s that I dive. Infact my GP Dr. is a diver and so is my Dentist.

I let doc/dentist know what I am doing - better to be safe than sorry - and better if they have an clue as to what they are dealing with...

My main doctor (a female) DOES dive, but of course, then we spend MORE time talking about dive trips than we do MY CASE! NOT GOOD! hahahahaa
