I have been diving since 1999 when I was certified in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Certification wise I am SSI Advanced open water with Nitrox,night/limited vis., boat, and Deep specialties.
My C-card says 60 logged dives, It’s probably closer to 150+ but I don’t know because I stopped logging because I have no desire to be a dive professional and I have enough logged dives to show a dive operator I know what I’m doing water and that is all that matters to me.
I have created a Dive bucket List map which proudly hangs in my office complete with push pins to mark where I’ve been and where I want to go. I’m not really interested in technical diving or cave diving but the idea of re-breather is intriguing and something I might like to do in the future if finances allows for it.
I am a slow methodical diver who is more about going slow and enjoying the ZEN aspect of diving. I usually have a go-pro camera in hand but I still like to go slow and let the animals come to me if they want. If your someone who likes to "speed boat" around and chase critters for that "perfect photo" then you and I will not be good dive buddies. I have been known to spend an entire dive slowly moving around one coral head.
