I got certified in August 2017 and haven’t looked back. Last season, I also earned my PADI Advanced Open Water Certification along with the Deep Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Enriched Air/Nitrox, and Zombie Apocalypse Diver (yep, that’s a thing—ask me about it) Specialities. This year, I’ve earned my Aquarium Diver, Dry Suit, and Quarry Diver Specialities and my CPR/AED/First Aid certification.

I’m always ready for a trip to Dutch Springs. Since I teach, I have the summers off, so I can dive any day of the week during those months. While I live in Northeast PA, I travel to Pittsburgh and Central/Southern PA frequently, and I’d like to hear about good sites in all parts of the Commonwealth. I’m also willing to travel to nearby states to meet some new buddies and dive some cool sites. In April 2018, I became a Volunteer Diver with the PPG Aquarium at the Pittsburgh Zoo.

Sorry to hear that. I was there today, so I’m not sure about tomorrow. What time did you want to meet? Joe G.

I’d like to, but I’m pretty tired from today, and work is backed up. I have to pass this time. Sorry. Maybe next weekend. Joe G.

Hey Joe,

Thanks for the friend request, looking to get in touch with people that can dive dutch springs this season.I do work a 9-5 m-f so weekends always work for me and the occasional weekday if I can get off.

Also would love to know about the zombie cert!

Joe,
Happy holidays, Hope you been good and your family. Are you still thinking in the new years dive with a wet suit? Let me know I am thinking about it just not sure if will be ok with just a wet suit. Keep me posted so if we do it I can get my tank and gear ready plus plan not to get hyper thermia.

DJ, Happy holidays to you as well. Thanks, everyone is fine. I hope you and yours are doing great. Yes, I’m still thinking about the New Year’s Eve dive with a wet suit as long as it doesn’t snow. Some guys from my dive shop will also be there, so it would be great if you can join us. As for the temperature, I was there on the last day in Nov. when air temp. was 29 but the water was in the 50s. So, underwater was OK, but the surface interval was a challenge. We’ll have to see what the weather will be. Check in with me as we get closer to the date.
