I’m a adrenaline junky and love adventure so much I went back to college to get my Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice. Graduation December 2017!

Deanna, I have heard of Mystery Lake and it is in the new Dive Training Magazine. It looks like it is somewhat like Lake Phoenix with a few different sunken items. Maybe some time this year we can dive it. May I will be in Fla. Not sure if I will dive then but will try and I also would like to dive Dutch Springs and Guppy Gulch in Pa. Have you heard of Mystery Lake? Alittle south of Phoenix, it’s bigger and deeper. Plan to dive it in the summer.

Has anyone dove the Devil’s Den in late December? My husband and I are both wanting to scuba then but, its too cold in Virginia and surrounding areas. Suggestions? What was the water temp like this time of year?

Deanna, it’s typically between 69 - 72 degrees inside the Den, all year long. It will actually be warmer inside the cave portion than outside. A 5 mm wetsuit will be fine, and I always wear a hood too.

Yes, I do hit Phoenix once or twice a year. If I can’t get out on a boat this weekend...I am going to hit the lake one more time before September. My suggestion...start buying gear slowly. We can dive the lake whenever I go.
