Yesterday I saw the coolest dive knife...

...on the dive boat. One of the divers was using it to clip the spines off the lionfish he had speared. He told me the built-in shears cut through fishing line and nets like butter. And the blade was very sharp too. Today I went and bought one. Just thought I would pass it on, definitely an item that increases your safety underwater, besides being a good tool for lionfish.

$90 at my local dive shop. Pretty much the same price on-line. There is a smaller version for slightly less.

Julie,

I have one that I carry as part of my equipment for my county dive team. I like the neoprene holder better than the hard plastic.

I’m not allowed to have sharp objects...LOL.
