Going good, still trying to work out the details to start training. Hopefully this spring/summer will be all diving.

I didn’t get a copy, but I’ll look into it.

So, how is the new Windows performing? Do you like it so far?

I am really liking it so far, it is not a resource hog like vista is so even in beta my computer is running faster and smoother, just gotta start getting support for applications. Punkbuster doesn’t seem to like it so I can’t play online on my Call of Duty World at War.

That is a problem with Vist, not all of the older programs work with it. Go the game web site and see if there is a patch for your programs. I did it with my computer (Wisdom) and it works fine now.

Everything worked fine in Vista but 7 is still just in beta so I am sure a lot of issues will be worked out before the official release. I just run the programs in compatibility mode for xp and it works fine.

I thought about installing and seeing how I interected with what I have already... Its just a pain in the but to redo setups due to the expiration timer that disables it in a few months.
I’ll upgrade to the new version when it finally releases, if you can run Vista, Win 7 should run a little better.
The did remove a number of the bundled items to make its base install smaller... You’ll probably be reinstalling a number of them anyhow inless you prefer to use remote e-mail and similar items.

I got it on release day and played with it over the weekend. I am a software developer, and I also tested Vista from Longhorn through RC1 phases. I was going to put Windows 7 on my primary system to replace XP, but here is my take on it.
Look and Feel: Similiar to Vista. Feels considerably more responsive on low end hardware. Ease of install: Fairly simple as far as steps, but the 32 bit version kept crashing on me. Took about 10 tries to get it to take. Stability: This is why I won’t put it on my primary. It seems to crash and reboot a lot.
System: 1.5Ghz Via C7 based x86-32bit system. 1GB DDR2 ram, integrated (read: no) video. I don’t know if the Via CPU may contribute to the stability issues. I’ve had no problems with ubuntu on it, however gOS was also a pain to get installed (although I wouldn’t recommend that operating system to anyone).
