We went to White Point to check out the kelp beds or the Hot Vents but vis was so bad I could hardly see my hand let alone my dive buddy. We packed up from there and drove to Cabrillo beach. Everyone I have talked to knocked it but we stayed close to the jetty and found some kelp a few feet from there. We saw urchins, crabs, sea stars, bunch of fish including a school of surf perch on the return, sea aneminea and other life forms. I loved gliding through the kelp and even noticed some sea grass on the way back in. There are sand dollar beds out in the sand however we were in a rush after the bust at White point but I would like to go back.
