My family and I are going to Roatan this summer and I need help or suggestions on where to stay. Or where not to stay. I would really appreciate anyone who has been there to send me some tips. Thanks in advance!

Gwen,

You definetly want to stay at the CoCoView Resort, I am running a trip there this upcoming August 15th - 22nd thru the dive shop in which I work at. If you are interested I still have a few spots open. If you are interested send me a message and I will forward all of the details to you.

I have been diving with CoCoView since 1992. Comfortable accommodations, great staff, wonderful dive crews, excellent dives within 20 minutes of docks, wide variety of dives "off the beach" in front of the resort. My 11th trip is scheduled for August, and it is already sold out! Check their website. They generally do not offer 2/1, but they are well worth it!

Hi Gwen. I have been to Roatan twice. Both times I stayed at Anthony’s Key Resort and I highly recommend it. They have a website so check it out. They are currently running a special of 1 diver full price, the other half off. The operation is top notch and the resort is really nice. I recommend a "superior key" room which is on the key itself. The rooms are bungalows over the water with AC rooms, large bathrooms and porches with hamocks. Meals and diving are included in the price. The food is good and the staff very accomodating.

Hope this helps

My vote is for AKR... Catch the 2 for 1 deal... The airfare will be more than the cost of staying at AKR... AKR in my opinion a 5 star resort...

Hi Gwen...If your going just for diving, I would stay at the CoCoview. The food is a little better at Paradise but CoCoview has better access to their house reef and the wreck in front of the resort. Look at their website and you’ll see that they have a live webcam that will help you. If you need any more pics, let me know and I’ll upload a few of the resort. Cheers, Bob
