My diving is all for fun and adventure.  I enjoy L.Mich. during the summer and the Carribean during the winter. My buddies and I also dive the quarry once or twice in the early spring.  I am also factory cert’d by the following scuba manufactures.  Aries, Hollis, Oceanic,Poseidon and ScubaPro. as an auth’d repair tec.

Diving Equipment means diving equipment that is worn on the diver’s person that is "cut loose" and is lost or damaged in an attempt to rescue the diver as a result of an Injury or DCI that requirew urgent transportation or hospitalization. Diving Equipment does not include watches, their glasses or coverts, torn straps or buckles, or photographic equipment of any kind.

Sorry, never mentioned:"Diving Equipment does not include watches, their glasses or coverts, torn straps or buckles. However, the Ins. co. did recognize..Underwater Cameras & or attached Equipment..as part of our "Divers" equipment.

Just trying to help you out. The above statement is in your DAN Member Benefits handbook. Page 34, sction under diving equipment. What DAN says is not valid when it comes to an insurance Co. DAN is not the insurance Co.. They just sell the insurance contract which is threw United States Lifes option. DAN will not pay for any replacement of equipmnt lost due to thef or travel laggage. DAN will only assist in finding the lost and will not pay for replacement. That is why its called DAN/travel assist. But for $100yr its still a great bargain.

DiveBudy Cgo/Mike.Yes,I do have the Dan Ins..Got it right after I got my wings....or is that Fins...Won’t dive without it as they say..Yes,lets do some diving in the Spring..
I appreciate  your perspective.I just think, like your auto or other personal items of Worth. They should be able to be Covered in the event of a accident..i.e. dropped, flooded, stolen or lossed etc.not from neglect.
