Hi - I’m from the UK and planning a good long trip to the West Coast of the US (and Hawaii) with my dive gear to explore underwater.

I’ve been diving for 20 odd years - I’m a CMAS 3 star diver and instructor/BSAC Advanced Diver and Instructor. For the PADI kids I guess that is equivalent of Master Scuba Diver Instructor.

I club dive and instruct in the UK so I’m a cold water diver well used to ’spicy’ currents/conditions.

I’m looking for dive buddies that can give me heads up of local knowledge - help me go straight to the best dive sites and avoid the ones that facilitate hoards of discover scuba newbies. Even better if there are buddies and clubs I can tag along with.

I’m sensible and safe as a diver. I can go to 50 meters with twin set/accelerated deco o2 stages......however I am also an advocate of staying shallower on a single set up if that gives just as good a dive!! Quite excited about the kelp forests!

Love pelagic and intact wrecks with a story and lots of life on them. I am also a newby nautical archaeologist with NAS.
