Looking mostly for real adventure, not always ’pay to play’ quarries. I see SCUBA as a vehicle, much like I do kayaks, hiking, bikes, cars, etc. SCUBA gets me to where I want to be. To see or photograph or simply explore something that others may never have seen, or at least few have seen. I want things in my log book that few others have. I want what I wanted as a child out of SCUBA diving. Simple adventure. I don’t do any of these outdoor activities as an end, they are the means to an end. They are the thing that allows me to find that next ’thing’ that will leave me speechless. I want a story to remember. I want a story to tell. Plain and simple.

If you are also a child at heart, still seeking things through a child’s eyes. Without attitude. Without ego. Willing to learn and listen to others. Willing to tell and teach your experiences also. Then I am your kind of person.

Thanks for listening!

Man, Denny it sounds almost like me talking! I’m into hiking, backpacking, scuba, mountain biking, kayaking; drives my wife nuts that I’m always doing something; I’m 55 years old and refuse to let life pass me by. No kids either...

Cool man. I’m 42, and I swear I am younger than I was in my twenties. Ex wife was NOT outdoorsy whatsoever, so I ended up a home body for 17 years. Since the split I have been playing catch up. I’ve met a lot of pretty cool people on here who are into the same things also, good groups of guys to go out and run a flooded creek, dive a dark murky pond, etc with. At 42 I just ran my first waterfall in a kayak the other month. I go out and scout dark water where there could be relics from the past like the Power dam, but there is another close to there that I am working on too, probably only 8 to 10 feet deep, and pitch dark.

I lived in PA for 11 years. and know it pretty well i don’t have a Kayak but don’t have a problem borrowing one from my friend. It shouldn’t be a problem money talk’s you know ? I have dragged heavier gear through the wood’s in PA. And being an Ex-Marine I can adapt to anything you throw at me. I am a cool person to get to know and have a great sense of humor ! It should be a BLAST !
