Has anybody out there ever dove the Lehigh River in the Lehigh Gap area? I’m an active member of the Lehigh Gap Nature Center and I’m trying to put together a 8-12 person dive team to do an underwater aquatic life survey this summer. Max depth would be only 12-15 feet and we would be paired off as teams of 2 divers each. 1 diver with a camera and the other with a dive slate. We already know that the river has a very healthy and vibrant fish population, based on the frequency of Bald Eagle, American Osprey, and Great Blue Heron sightings in and around the Gap. We are trying to get an idea of just how vast that population is. I’d like to do it as a 2 day project. Think of it as a continuous safety stop since we won’t be deep and the air sippers will be able to dive an entire weekend on a single 80cf cylinder!

I’d be willing to go, i’m sure denny would be too. FYI a few of us will be at dutch springs July 18 evening for camping through July 20th diving sat/sunday.

After 10 months out of the water due to TIA’s and subsequent heart surgery, I have been medically cleared to dive again. I’m looking for a dive buddy (buddies) for Dutch Springs for Friday, May 23.
I’m NAUI Advanced with Nitrox Certification. 98 dives; 80+ at Dutch Springs. Just want to do some easy dives to get my chops back. Anyone interested can contact me: (484)695-6198 Call or text. Thanks!
