I have done the same thing, but what was funny when I did it though, was it worked just like letting a little bit of air out of my bc. I found myself a tad bit more negatively buoyant. I actually laughed out loud in my full face mask (with coms) and my tender asked what was so funny, lol.

Must be the guide didn’t have a wetsuit as farting in most wetsuits results in bubbles escaping from your hood.LOL

I guess that is why hoods have vents in the top :)

I’m ok with peeing in a borrowed wet suit but this,,, I have to draw the line.
