I saw a reef being grown in Bali, I think this process has a huge potential for building reefs, buildings as long as you are not in a hurry.

More electrical current means it should grow faster. I read that biorock is stronger than most concrete and is solid enough to hold a pocket of hydrogen. Which means this could be the future building process for underwater colonies.
