I was diving a couple of weeks ago and one of my buddies had there own personal log-book stamp which I thought was cool, so what should I have?…….thinking…….thinking…….thinking…….got it, a stamp with DiveBuddy.com my id number and screen name on it, Greg will it be ok to use your logo?

Of course! That’s a neat idea. And once you have the stamp created...let me know who did it for you and what the cost was so we can consider offering this for other people.

I guess we could also consider a small book of labels that are customized to include the logo, website name, member’s id and screen name. Then the diver could keep the book of labels in their log book to use when signing a buddies book. Just peel and stick. That might be a cheaper and more compact solution for me anyways. But the stamp idea is awesome also!

Thanks, Greg.

I think that the stamp idea is cool, but Greg is right when he says the stickers would be simpler you have in your log book.....safe diving everyone.

Mo that is a cool idea, can a location be in the log book so the person will remember where they were when they dove with MO. I love the sticker/stamp almost like a passport booklet with stamps for people they dove with and location.

Love it

COLOP Pocket 20Ok. I poked around eBay and found the Colop Super Store in Singapore. They have about twenty different products.

The one I like best is called the Pocket 20. They offer it in five colors, and will do a custom graphic for "a small fee".

Looks to cost about $15.

I’ll order one and let you know how it turns out.

Best -

How about this one?

Actual sizeI was in kind of a hurry, so this is the best I could do. The total area for the Pocket20 is 14mm x 38mm, pretty close to what you see here. Should be much sharper as the vendor has 600dpi to work with (versus 72 on-screen).

Looks cool Mo, but would have to be 1 color and maybe a bit smaller...

Do you know if it can be done in Red ink instead of black? Any idea on where to locate a dive log type book ( small ) for the stanping?

I ordered mine in blue, but they have red and green, too. My logbook is published by Trident: five dives per page, looks to be good for about 200 entries, verification column is just a hair larger than my stamp.

Here’s a link to a dive log company in the UK that makes custom stamps and dive logs...

Ok, no matter how I try to update the link it continues to come up wrong on reply. The web site is www.divelogs.com. then just click on the products link for log book stamps.

I like the Idea of an official "sticker" with the info of the diver from your site. It is simple efficent and not messy. I dive with dive operations who used to use stamps (which bleed when wet) and now use stickers which I think work very well. If you have several ideas for your stickers and have samples you might want to have some of us look at before the final sticker I would be more then happy to give imput.

1st of all remember to get Greg’s permission as MO did , and the sticker idea I think is a better idea thent the ink stamper. and MO I like your round one better then the rectangle one.

If you are going to use a stamp or sticker for personal reasons (ie: to use when signing someone’s log book)...you have my permission to use the divebuddy name/logo, your screen name and your member id. In fact, I encourage that...it’s a great idea to help spread the word about our little "club".

I like the rectangular stamp that Scout posted. And red or blue ink would be cool. It shows the domain name, screen name and member id. Pretty neat. I’ll see if I can come up with a neat idea to post as well.

Here’s another idea for a stamp. The logo is black and white. And it allows for more room for your member id and screen name.

For those that want to make their own divebuddy stamp. The font I use for the DiveBuddy.com name is Impact. So if you want to create your own text, use Impact for "DiveBuddy.com" and it will look like mine.

Thanks!

Just got my stamp - airmail from Singapore - and just in time to take it with me down to North Carolina for five days of four-tank diving.

Thanks so much for the idea. Hope to stamp YOUR logbook someday.
