 If you could only dive 1, which would you choose? Montego Bay, Cayman or Cozumel

Our family is going on a cruise and we have 3 stops for about 9 hours each. I’m sure we will want a place that’s near the cruise terminal.

If you were going to only dive only one of those days, which place would you choose? And WHO (dive center) would you use?

Also, any thoughts on shopping, beaches and other things to do while we are stopped at these locations?

Any helpful ideas/hints are appreciated!

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

Cozumel, Mexico - We have been here so it’s not really an option.

Cozumel - Blue Angel - but it would depend on the docking schedule.

If you’ve done Coz then you’ll find Jamaica disappointing, limited viz and overfished :(

I think I’d do Grand Cayman and Dive the Kittiwake if possible or the C53 in Cozumel !!! If Cozumel we dove with both Del Mar Aquatics and Dive House !!!!

I’ll second the Kittiwake in Cayman, then cozumel with Blue Angel, Jamica wouldnt even be a diving consideration, i wasnt impressed when i dove it.

I will dive with Pedro and Nayda Padilla of Island Scuba...Playa Santa where the dive Shop is located is one of the most beatifull beaches in PR...Shopping is near by, Yauco Plaza 5 miles away have the normal shops...( Kmart, Walgreens, etc) Mayaguez Mall about 15 miles has the Big ones ( Sears, JC Penney , Walmarts, Movies) To sightinng Guanica Dry Forest, Ponce is not to far either and has the Castillo Serralles ( Castle fromerly owend by Serralles Family-makers of DonQ Rum) ....La Guancha ( Pier Board Walk with many shops and eating kiosks) here you can take a trip to Caja de Muerto ( Cofin Island)...

Of the three - Cayman for what I heard...I have not heard good reviews of Jamiaca diving

I always prefer the drift diving in coz but grand cayman was very nice. Did all day Appleton Rum distillery tour in Montego Bay.
