I was just notified that i will most likely be going to Dubai for at least a month and the firs thing that went through my mind was, "I finally get to dive outside the US!" This is not what work is sending me for, but man i am excited! Anyone else have sork funded dive trips or similiar experiences?

Yep, I dove some in CA thanks to work trips in the past. That’s always the first thing I think of also when I have to travel for work, where are the dive sites. I get on our scuba earth page and I got to my work location to see what’s in the area.

That’s actually how I got in my first dives, TDY in Bermuda in 1962 :)

They were once looking for volunteers here for some work on a carrier in Japan and I jumped on it just for the chance to dive but they wouldn’t let me go :(
