I dive with an integrated air source that came with the used BCD I purchased. Do you use an integrated air source?

[Choose #1] Scubapro makes an excellent one. It breathes as easy as the primary.I was taught that if your buddy is out of air, you give your primary to him and use your integrated. That way you can control the rate of assect with the inflator.

[Choose #2] But I’d like to buy integrated. It’s just not in the budget right now.

[Choose #2] I used to dive with a sherwood air 2. I am not a fan b/c of hose length. In an emergency low on/out of air situation, there is a point where 2 people have no air, also makes dumping air whlie sharing difficult

[Choose #1] Yes, almost every BC inflater is an air source if you press both buttons at once. Other than that, though, I use 2 normal second stages with 2 normal 1st stages.

[Choose #1] I prefer the integreted air source for personal diving, but add an octipus for students. Additionally, if you use the integrated, you should practice the new sharing process, and obtain a longer primary 2nd stage hose ease of sharing.

[Choose #1] But I don’t use one when I’m teaching. I use a separate, longer alternate regulator in case students need it.

[Choose #1] Sort of, the inflator is on the same hose but seperate from the 2nd. and fed by the pony.

[Choose #2] I tried the i.a., but my hands are too small to wrap around it easily and I couldn’t reach the fill or dump buttons easily
