Liveaboard - Rent or take your own gear?

I take all my own gear, except tanks and weights of course. The Palau and Fiji Aggressor crew are awesome, and I’m sure their rental gear was well maintained, but with 5 or 6 dives a day I was glad I had my own comfortable and fitted fear.
