Personnally, I prefer "no purge". I prefer the lowest volume mask possible. I also prefer the simplest mask possible. All the "bells & whistles" don’t necessarily mean that it’s better.
But...
It’s really up to you. What you prefer. You have to wear it. I suggest trying out several different masks. Which ever one works best "for you" is the one to stick with.
Most Local Dive Shops (if they are good ones) will allow you to try the various mask types to see which one is best for you.
