Doug, all cylinders need hydro, not just SCUBA, I’d ask the local fire department who is doing theirs because they have probably already done the research on who is cheapest/does a good job and then approach that company and ask for a volume price.
Considering hydros cost about $25 at the LDS even saving $10 per tank you are still looking at the price of an exotic dive trip to get 16 tanks done :(

BTW, our FD does their own, buries them in the sand and adds pressure, they have their own compressor and members get free fills. Have you thought about becoming a volunteer fireman? Maybe for a donation your local FD would do yours.

16 tanks?? i dont think id be worrying about getting All 16 done right away, its not like you can use them all in 1 day! a cheaper alternative,,sell them all and buy 2 new 1s as they come hyrdo’d and will be ready for use, ass Lat said the FD might do it,, but could be a liability for them, our FD has a contract with a welding/gas supplier, which they do all the SCBA, also not knowing how old the tanks are an when the last hydro was done and interior condition, if a tank needs to be rolled, theres a added cost etc,, good luck

Local fire department may be able to provide leads to hydro company. Also, you may want to check out any place that provides gas services (argon, O2, propane, etc...) as these tanks require hydro also. Some of these companies do their own tanks, but many send tanks out.
