I just bought this camera after endless searching and I`m wondering if anyone has any experience with it underwater? I hope it takes good pics! Would appreciate feedback on other options as well - non DSLR for the moment. Thanks!

I don`t own this camera, but I want to buy something soon. What made you choose this one after all your searching?

I read everything I could find on point and shoot digitals, and I`ve owned Canon`s before and they take super pics. This one? image stabilizer, excellent reviews, extremely portable, 4x zoom, 2cm macro, bright lcd, great on land (and, can`t afford an SLR!) I had the Olympus Stylus last summer for underwater and was very disappointed even with strobe. I was considering the new 8 megapixel Sea&Sea but couldn`t find any reviews on it. Anyway I sure hope it is good underwater cause I`m heading to Lembeh in Aug. btw, just curious, how many members on this site? Thanks for creating it!

I came across a cool site that lists all expert reviews for a product in a single page. Most reviews for Canon PowerShot SD800 IS Digital Camera are positive. You might want to read them all from one page. Just compare what different experts are saying about it. http://www.smartratings.com/review/photography/digital_cameras/40
