Anyone using the Canon G12 with Fisheye FIX Housing? Any advise as I’m looking to shop...

Will be keeping an eye on this one as I to am looking to buy a good camera. My GF and I want to take picture that we can hang on the walls and show our friends. I have the Rebel XTI I use on vacations, but now need one for scuba. Would also like to know what lighting is used for the best pictures.

Here’s a great article discussing the G11/12 in the FIX housing. Enjoy!

Thanks! This is great...

Do you have any recommendations if I was to compare the Canon G12 & FIX Housing against the new Olympus PEN E-PL3 and Olympus housing?

It’s a close call and I can’t decide!

Personally, I’m a fan of the FIX (Recsea) housings. And as far as I know, the PT-EP05L housing for the E-PL3 will not be available until early November.

Here’s a review of the E-PL3, E-PL2, and E-PM1 cameras.

I’ve been able to take out the Recsea housing with the S95 and really liked its compact build, and controls. Also, and equally important in my opinion, is the fact the there is an array of Dyron wet lens to choose from for the Recsea housing. Everything from macro to fisheye wide-angle.

Give the guys at Bluewater Photo a call. Honestly, they dive with this gear all the time, and they’ll give you some great advice. They’re in Los Angeles at (310) 633-5052.

Ask for the owner, Scott Gietler, and tell him "Zig" sent you. :)

I really hope this helps!
