Labor Day Rock is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located in Destin, FL. This dive site has an average rating of 3.33 out of 5 from 3 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 81-90ft/25-27m. The average visibility is 41-50ft/12-15m.

Labor Day Rock (84-91 feet in depth)
Located approximately 5 miles from Destin East Pass. This is a large round rock with many cuts and crevices. This reef is approximately 4 feet tall, very easy to navigate, and is usually very fishy. It is home to many black snapper along with grouper, red snapper and amberjack. Not uncommon to see nudibranchs here and shovelnose lobster.

I went scuba diving here on 5/2/2017. Average viz: 16-20ft/5-6m.
Visiblity was low compared to normal conditions. It was great for me.

I went scuba diving here on 5/3/2016. Average viz: 26-30ft/8-9m. Water temp: 66-70°F/19-21°C.
Viz was pretty bad and there was a pretty strong current at the surface, but down at the bottom it was pretty still and better viz. Alas it was also rather dark and even with my light my GoPro didn’t get a whole lot. I’d love to go back with better conditions and a speargun...
