I was a member of the Newcastle Underwater Research Group (100 miles north of Sydney on the East coast of Australia) 1962-68
I came onto this site originally looking for diving quizzes for our upcoming (7th) club reunion and was blown away by your site - only had time to look at some underwater photography so far
As you can appreciate we used fairly primitive equipment back then but I did dive to 196feet, dived several times on a steam driven paddlewheeler tug (118feet) and was buzzed three times by a white pointer to name a few of my experiences
