Hello, all.
My name is Willy.
I started diving in 1993. The following year I bought my own boat and started running scuba charters in the Kingston, Ontario area. I then became a member of a local dive shop, and over the next few years, I became a manager and equipment technician. My niche on the charter boat was to cater to the newly certified divers. As I would join the divers in the water when needed as a Divemaster. If you were unsure of being in the water, I would make sure that you had safe and enjoyable first dives. In the winter months, I would travel to Nova Scotia and work over the winter on scuba for 9 hours a day in ice-cold waters.
I have stopped logging my dives after accumulating 5000 hours underwater.
I no longer run a boat charter, but I try to dive as much as I can for pleasure and still repair dive equipment in my spare time.
