Dan has been diving for 13 years and began teaching four years ago when he resided in Denver (he missed the water). Dan is a Master Scuba Diver Trainer and he can take you all the way from your Open Water course to become a Divemaster or Master Scuba Diver. Dan is also an Emergency First Responder Instructor. He is a Specialty Instructor for: Peak Performance Buoyancy, Project Aware, AWARE Coral Reef Conservation, Altitude, Boat, Deep, Dry Suit, Enriched Air, Multilevel, Underwater Navigator, Night, Search & Recovery and Wreck. Dan’s favorite dive destinations correspond on what each has to offer, such as the Grand Caymans, great dives; Cozumel for a quick inexpensive get-away; the California coast for the sea lions and Hawaii for the wonderful variety of fish and fauna. Dan’s favorite class to instruct is the Advanced, but he enjoys teaching all the classes. His favorite class for students is Rescue because it changes their entire perspective on dive trips. Diving is Dan’s diversion from work and work supports his diving habit. Dan became an instructor because of his love of diving and love of teaching others (His high is seeing students faces light up when they breathe underwater for the first time). His goal is to become a Course Director, retire and own his own shop.

Dan graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a B.B.A. He is presently works for Chas. P. Young Company, which is a commercial, financial and digital printing company. Dan is a native Texan with family in Central Texas.
