Diving over 50 yrs started in NJ jetties, inlets, lakes and quarries, travelled to some of the best spots in the world. Bora bora, Hawaii, Belize, virgin islands, Cancun, Fla keys, now live walking distance from BluenHeron Bridge, WPB, Fl. Look over my balcony to a great man made reef 1 mile on the beach north of lake worth, palm beach inlet. Belong to the ScubaClub in WPB, great place and people.
Snorkeling along the beach here with eagle rays, manatees, bait schools, and the spinner sharks, hundreds in January and early February. The reef here starts behind 2700 N ocean dr, Ritz Carlton Condo and goes north one quarter mile. Nurse sharks, squid, octo,eels, lots of reef fish, cuda, lobster, etc. Deepest is 12 feet at HT. Now the turtles are laying eggs at night and there is a nest every 20 feet. 100 hatchlings emerge 60 days or so later and race to the surf. Amazing to watch.
My wife dives, but not at night and teaches Kundalini Yoga in a few places. Nothing like meditating on the bottom. I like living where there are moe dive shops than Walgreens.
