My main hobby from 21 years old was sidecar racing with a bit of diving on the side but as I got into my late 40’s I was doing about 50/50 and then just before my 50th birthday I packed up racing altogether so now my main hobby is diving. A few years ago I thought that a lot of diving kit was to expensive so started dealing with a few firms in the far east to get my own range of kit together with the idea of it going - factory - me - end user thus cutting as many out of the chain as possible thus Red Hat Diving was born. I shall never sell in huge numbers but it is making a reasonable living for me as I slide into retirement. I still miss racing though but my wife has given away my display cabinet and put all my trophies into storage. She is determined that is a closed chapter.
