I’m an Ex Navy Deep Sea Diver, I was stationed in Hawaii and mostly dove there. I’ve been out of the military for 2 years now and want to start diving again recreationally.

hey, sorry i got your message so late. I don’t live as close as i used to to monterey, but I make it there occasionally. Email me at ljdamon [ at ] hotmail.com to talk to me more about diving. I will be out of town for the next week.

This might sound odd, but I trained for Diver while in the DEP program, then dropped while in Prep school. As sad as that sounds, it’s actually a blessing in a way. I didn’t want to do any construction, I wanted more of the science aspect of it. I am currently an AG (weather guesser), trying to achieve degrees in both weather and marine science (biology). I have a lot of respect for you guys, for not dropping and for withstanding all the hardships you encounter. I was certified as a Rescue Diver before entering the Navy. I worked at a Dive shop helping out with classes, that’s mainly what inspired me to try for Navy Diver. That, and being a female. ("GI Jane" factor). I had never done pull-ups before the Navy and I did up to 8. I wanted to make it to 10, but after bootcamp, I got out of shape and became frusterated and unmotivated. Hope your not too burned out on diving. Thanks for working in that rate. Your awesome.
