Malta and Gozo have some of the top dive sites in the WORLD! low tides/currents makes for good dives there - lots of wrecks from all the wars etc...its all good..and btw you can spell Mediterranean! woo!

Malta is lovely, hot but it was windy so all east coast dive sites were blown off (boo) but managed 6 dives in Gozo and northern Malta (Cirkewwa, nice sheltered area). The Med is a balmy 18degC whenever Ive been. Vis can vary but east of italy is better. Plenty of marine life, good reefs fewer large fish (sharks, rays) and mild tides but hey we all go for the duty free anyway.

hopefully organising a red sea trip end of the year with some UK dudes i met courtesy of this very site. I jus got back from Malta and that was fab...tho the duty free from Egypt is tons cheaper! :) Glad u like my choons
