Just looking to build a dive buddy network in puget sound. I dive a lot and its hard to find buddies all the time. i’ve built a facebook groups page that will hopefully develop into kind of a "grab a buddy and go" type of thing. whenever you get the itch to dive just check the page and see if there is someone to go with. here is the link. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/group.php?gid=126050544083061

Thanks for the complements on the photos - I am working on improving my skills.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do dive in the Sound! I usually do Bandito boat dives out of Tacoma, Mikes Beach in Hood Canal or Edmonds Underwater Trails. I live in W. Seattle and want to dive Seacrest. I’d like to dive more often in the Sound but I usually have trouble finding a dive buddy. How often do you dive the Sound and are you interested in acquiring a new dive buddy?

This weekend, I may dive Mikes Beach in Hood Canal (it all depends if the dive shop - Seven Seas Scuba, Vancouver, Wa - has availability). Fingers crossed; if not I could always be talked into a weekend dive somewhere around the Sound...

That would be correct. I visited my mother on the Big Island and this was right out in the surf behind our hotel. How`s things been. My dive buddy moved to Houston so I am again looking for somebody to dive with. I am busy the next couple of weekends but after that -- bring it on.

Thanks, it was a very memorable experience. I had never seen a shark in open water before. Magnificent creatures, and so obviously powerful.

Thanks, though my Birthday was really October 2nd, and I updated the mistake in my profile. Happy new year.

Thank You! I am very excited about it. I have only gotten to dive once from it. I am not sure how much I will use it this first winter but I would love for you to join me when I go.

Well, if you need somebody to dive with I would likely be willing. Winter is okay by me though I still dive wet and surface intervals can be slightly unfriendly. Most (okay all) of my diving has been South Sound and Hood Canal. I have a 1-1/2 hour drive just to get to Olympia. My buddy is back for the weekend and we are heading to Jorstead Creek Hood Canal on saturday ~10:00 am ish. You would be welcome.

This is in Antarctica, Taken last year by UCSC`s DSO on his trip down there. A bit pricey for the average diver. Not to mention the 300 lbs of gear you have to wear. I believe water temp is at 29 degrees. I forget what the line is for, but I`ll find out.

Thanks Johanna, we will have to dive sometime.
