In 1967 at the age of seventeen (17), I signed up for a YMCA Scuba Diving class at
Dale Dive Shop in Sandusky, Ohio.
In 1973, I joined the Sandusky Bay Diving Club which was formed by Dale McCutcheon,
owner of
Dales Dive Shop. In 1975, I was elected President of the SBDC. Most of our dives where in Lake Erie or quarries and lakes around Ohio.
In August 2008, Joyce and I went to Oahu, Hawaii. It has always wanted to dive in Hawaii (A dream come true). On August 13, I went diving with
Island Divers Hawaii. We went to a dive spot called Koko Crater. Koko Craters, is a series of circular ledges that lie in about 35ft of water. Turtles and reef fish abound here, as well as the elusive Potter’s angelfish.
