Has anyone done any diving in Singapore? Is there a shop you would recommend? I have a friend that lives over there and wants some advice on which local shops to look at. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Brion,

I haven’t log in to DiveBuddy for awhile, and just saw your request about Singapore. I hope it’s not too late. You can have your friend contact:
Simon Wong
56B Pagoda Street,
Singapore 059215
Tel: (65)6372 0200
simon [ at ] scubahub.com

I dove with Simon when I was in Malaysia and he’s very nice, and is a dive instructor.

singapore has a lot of dive shops and they are all pretty good. I went with http://www.waikikidive.com/  and was very happy with the service. One thing I did not like much was the long overnight trip to Malaysia. I was very short on time and the hotels was a bit too rustic for me. The cost was about SG350 and for about extra SG200 the liveaboard was a much much more pleasurable experience. I did the http://www.whitemanta.com/ and loved it.
