Maint of your scuba equip ensures it safe and lasts. The weather turns warmer we begin to think about diving. Now is the time to give it the once over before you hit the water again. If something is needed you have time to get it in the shop. Storing your gear correctly is a start. Inspect the Reg Hoses BC Tank Computer Camera Mask Fins etc Regulators Tanks require annual inspections from the dive center ensuring everything is in working order, preventing problems Beforehand. Check Hydro dates if needed a few weeks to turn around. Washing out the inside & outside of the BD helps maintain it. Many a stuck purge valve could have been prevented with annual maintenance. See your owners manual. Cameras Computers & Lights time to check, change the batteries & O rings. Mask Fins and all those things with straps should be checked for wear and cracks. Nothing is worse than getting to the dive site and finding out Then things are not ready. Best Fishes!! [

Don`t forget to have your regulators, BC, and instuments serviced by a CERTIFIED repair technician. How do you know the individuals are certified by the manufacturer? Look for the certifications. They are normally placed in an obvious location in the LDS. Having repaired dive gear for many years (and aircraft for 29 years), I have seen much due to neglect. Do not look for the cheapest repair costs, because YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR !!!! Is your life support equipment that insignificant to you? "Take care of your gear, and it will take care of you"

Yep yep! Also, be sure to check your warranty on your gear. Some manufacturers, like Mares/Dacor, require that annual servicing/maintenance be performed at a certified shop and be documented or their warranty is VOID!
