I got to Rogers Rock on Friday. I expected to dive & snorkel Friday, classes Sat and Sunday with a catered dinner Saturday night and some dives Monday. I got my tent set up and that was about all. That afternoon I couldn’t cool down, was sweating profusely and feeling light headed and a bit nauseated. I laid down for a while then had something to eat with the group then went to bed - or tried to. I was up all night with really bad chills alternating with being overheated with uncontrollable sweating, continuous nausea, and weakness. When I got up on Saturday morning I knew I was not going to be able to dive let alone take Nav, Dark, and Deep cert dives. Right now (Sunday mid-morning) I still feel pretty much the same. I had to get out of bed for a while - been there since I got home about noon Saturday. I’ll get something bland to eat then back to bed. Don’t know what this is but it feels like malaria. If I don’t start feeling better by tomorrow morning I’m off to the Dr. The sad part is I never even got into the water.

Hey.. I just read this about your trip. Sounds bad. Have you made it to the doctor to see what’s wrong? Sorry you didn’t get to dive but more importantly, take care of yourself! Update when you can.

Been to the Dr. Lots of tests. Only result so far is that pneumonia has been ruled out. Still wih the hot/cold periods, nausea and weakness - though not quite as bad as it was on the weekend. Damn glad I didn’t try to tough it out. I would probably have been a fatality.
