lobstering permit in Fla?

I will be going to south Fla the beginning of september and was wondering if anyone knows how/where to get a lobstering permit and it is in fact lobster season there?

I’m pretty sure it’s Aug 6 thru March 31,,,, mini season was July 28 & 29.

You also can call toll free - 1-888-347-4356 for permits. We have boat dive trips planned every 3rd & 4th Saturday of the month and most of our divers are looking for lobsters. you can get a permit/license at any place they sell fishing tackle or in some of the stores like a ace hardware bass pro etc you would a none resedent if you do not live in the state of florida

Most of the lobsters are found on the east coast or the keys they are rarely found in the Gulf

you can get a lobster stamp at any ace hardware, bass pro, a local bait shop and even some k marts in the keys and yes it will be lobster season when you get here . I have live in ft myers fl since 1980 . and you can get lobsters in the gulf you just need to know where to look and be deep enough.
