I am in Sparrows Point md but I have always wanted to dive Rawlings lake, is it as nice as it looks with vis and temp ,maybe we can get a group to head down and meet up with you and do a few dives

Check out the Chester Dive CLub, had our meeting last night and we meet to plan diving, not hold meetings :-)
Lake Rawkings has continued to improve the services provided with the cabins, the new bath house and now pavilians, 11 up with a few more on the way. The assembly area has been expanded to keep the traffic down and provide more shade during the heat of the summer. One of the pavailians will be wrapped for the winter and should provide for enviromental protection before and after the dive.
There are other places close some in PA like Millbrook and NCs Fanticy Lake. there are some good spots off the coast as well. Check with Lynhaven Dive Shop to see when they are headed off again. CVDC has moorehead scheduled as well so you may give them a call. I know the Chester Dive Club has trips scheduled as well.

live in va beach ,always looking to dive,just dont have any friends in area who dive.have alot of family who dives,but the all live in florida.just bought a local chart that shows the most dived wrecks in this area and have a nice boat to get there,so if your in the area hit me up !as for lake rawlings,its a really nice place to dive,just alittle crowded sometimes.but if you have a free weekend give me call alittle ahead of time and we"ll set something up.found some really nice dive sites in the outerbanks also for some nice beach dives. chris mccloud (757)739-1042

I live in Amelia not far from the lake I wanted to dive it yesterday but had no buddy,I also have a place in Hatteras with a 23ft skiff but need some one to dive with.I work three days on three days off so im off alot. condrey [ at ] yahoo.com (bayfever)

Sounds good. Please let me know when you reach your decision. I dove there a few weeks ago and the surface temp was nice. The temp [ at ] 62’ was 53 deg. Brrrr. I used a 5mm suit and hood. Do you own yourown gear or do you rent?
Last year I went on a holiday and the lake was a ghost town. The lake was wide open and enjoyable.

sounds as if there are several of us in Va. itching to dive. I also have a flexible work schedule and am looking for someone/or group of someones to share cost on cheap but fun dive trips.

lets go diving! crap i have a boat weekends off and love the sport.just need a buddy to make sure i make it back to my wife and kids. been on this site for almost a month and put my info out there.starting to feel like im wasting my time on this site.is there anybody serios out there about doiing some dives because me sending emails doesnt seem to be getting me wet and my swimming pool is really getting boring! crap my 7 year old has been burning up more tanks of air than me! if you live in va,and you (really want to do some cool dives.) hit me up and we"ll set something up!
