Scuba gear service requirements.
Many of the components of your scuba equipment are susceptible to dryrot, mildew, corrosion or other forms of chemical and biological degradation. Even if used only a few times each year, the maintenance cycle should be followed.
During the regular service or maintenance checks, the repair technician will check for all of these issues plus any other issues that might not be expected.
This regular maintenance service also gives the certified technician an opportunity to check the performance of your equipment and make any adjustments (tune up) that might be necessary.
Proper cleaning, storage and care along with regular servicing will help to ensure that your scuba gear works “as it should, when it should”.
Remember, your scuba equipment is your “life support” system.
