I’m sure there are many combo’s out there, but I’m really happy with my new purchase. I got the new Sea & Sea DX1200HD camera & housing together for only $600. The camera is a small point and shoot for on land. The housing is nice and compact so it’s not too bulky underwater. It takes 12MP pics and Hi Def videos! It’s also got one of the easiest menus to navigate I’ve ever used. I learned the whole camera in no time. You’ll want to add a $40 8gig memory card. You can add a nice Sea & Sea strobe + tray for around $300 I think. Another nice feature is that you can add an optional wet-mount wide angle lense for a couple hundred more (Xmas present?) I’m still learning with it, but you can see all my recent pics at the link below. The only two trips I had this camera was "Ruby-E" and "Casino Point" dives listed on the left column. Before then I was using a cheaper 7MP Canon which took really low res video, but still not bad. A good strobe makes a huge difference. Good viz underwater makes even more ;-) Good luck!
