I smoked for over 25 years and really loved it too. When I started, it wasn’t a social fau paux to smoke. There was still smoking on planes. I quit 3 months ago and really don’t miss it. The OP mentioned quality of life and that was finally obvious to me that I was losing quality of life. 2 dive trips ruined from chronic bronchitis. I’ve had enough.

I was never a rude smoker. I don’t even like to smoke in my own house and would never smoke where it blatently would offend someone. Well, within reason. If I am outside and the wind is blowing away from you and you are 15ft away....sorry if my presence offends you. And it always surprised me when friends would announce that I was not welcome to smoke in their car or home when I never asked to.

As for other smokers, I don’t really care if others do. I don’t hang out in bars or heavy smoke resteraunts. My only complaint about any smokers is the friend who I wanted to come visit my parents house for the day. We were going to have a BBQ, go out on the boat tubing, and ride jet skies. All I asked was she not smoke in front of them. My parents don’t like it. She couldn’t go an hour without a smoke. So, she didn’t go.

And for the OP, I didn’t bother with your 2nd posting after you disregarded all of the other posts as verbal diareahh. Shocking how ironic considering your post.
