I started smoking when I was 17. I quit at the age of 34 (in 1984)....I was up to 3 packs a day. I couldnt put my feet on the floor in the morning without lighting up. I would go into the ashtray of my car and smoke on crumbled up cigs while driving to the store to get more. I would light them off of each other. My boys would ask me time and time again to quit. One day I did. Just out of the blue I decided that I was bigger than that little white cigarette. I threw away an unopened pack and have never had another one again. Thats not saying that once in awhile somone will light up and the smell is so good.......and other times the smell disgusts me.
I never give my opinion on whether someone should smoke or not. I just know that for me, I made the wrong choice by starting and the right choice by quitting.
