Interesting enough I just did 10 days in Kona. My carry on bag included 2 sets of regs, dive light with batteries, 2 computers, save a dive kit, mask, 14lbs of hard lead and my 19 cu ft pony bottle (valve removed per tsa rules). Not a single problem on at tsa checkpoints at either PDX or Kona.
