I thought you wanted to keep moisture OUT of your air lines? If you keep hydrated before and between dives it shouldn’t be a big deal.
Some of the regulators have metal vanes in them that collect condensation from your exhale and use it to moisten the next inhale of dry compressed air.
If I get that dry I’ll just do a little rinse and spit with surrounding water (even in salt), practice a regulator recovery and let it flood and be wet inside. I don’t need a drink... I’ll just get industrial spit\drool on a dive if I get dry mouth started.
I climbed out on one dive and had stringers of this industrial spit sliming out of the exhaust ports on my regulator... Who said fish are the only ones who get a slim coating...lol
I still haven’t figured out how people drink juice boxes and juice bags while under water yet.. :-)
