A few years ago in Cozumel, trying to get one last dive in before Tropical Storm Bill hit, we went for a dive at Palancar reef. It was rainy and choppy on the way out, not too bad, but during the dive some heavy stuff rolled in. I remember looking up at the surface, lightening flashing, sea rolling, and it was now pouring rain! It was getting pretty dark at the end of the dive even though it was morning. The entire group broke the surface together, what was 1 to 2 foot swells was now 5 to 8 foot! The hardest part was getting back into the ponga, but everybody did it without any injuries! The ride back was quite a roller coaster ride! ...I’ll never do that again!
