I have found a few people to dive with at Hurlburt dive shop. I just finished my advanced open water certification. I am looking after my daughter (10 mo.) but am free to dive some weekends (when the wife will let me). I do have some family coming into town that can watch my daughter some so that might free me up more during the week. The main thing is finding a boat. Eglin air-force base has a boat that their dive people go out on about every other weekend for various trips/certifications and you can get on that boat for around 70-120 dollars depending on number of people and where they are going. Just let me know when you want to dive and we can try to work something out.
